Polyark III – Polyport

In the 1970s Cedric Price founded Polyark. He had the idea that if architectural students should have the opportunity to mix with other Architectural students from other universities. By investigating and discussing how other Students and Universities approach, explore, learn can give fresh incite in how we ourselves perceive architecture. In the 1970s it involved a bus-load of students travelling round Britain visiting 7 universities; fast forward forty years to 2013 and Polyark III is now an international event, with students from all over the world presenting there ideas and projects in a creative environment focused on sharing and learning. I would like the thank the RIBA for hosting the event and it was a pleasure to be part of.

I was part of the three person team from Greenwich who participated in the Polyark Project. Our sites were set in Cairo on the river Nile. Explanation of drawings to come…
